Oh well...its a monday! Quite happening. :) Didnt really blog for sunday..cos it was a routine...i played wolf-ET (saw all my old pals!!), watched TV and did some work...typical la..so i put it in here k? :p

Anyway...so monday..i got to school real late, around 8:45. I think its blog..everytime i blog..its like 1 hr++ one..:( Im supposed to reach there by 8:30..hup was late too(die..our group always late). Didnt really need to discuss what to do..had an idea already. The layout of the entire project is something like that:

Phase 1: DNA extraction from Pakistanis blood. Aim is to retrieve malaria DNA samples. Construction of phase 1 done in 2 weeks.
Phase 2: Multiplex screen. Multiplex meaning PCR using 2 diff sets of primers in one reaction. Aim is to determine P. falciparum and P. vivax, two main species of plasmodium parasites involved. Construction of phase 2 done in 1 month. Quickly done as protocol was optimized by previous group students already.
Phase 3: Screening of mutations confering to drug resistance in P. falciparum (only). Currently under construction.

Not bad liao...although they're flying off really soon, in two weeks time, hup and mel. So tat leaves eug and me to juggle our IAP and project liao. But we're slowing it down really by alot already..cos sch work is stacking up..so..well, trying to make it a point to do at least one assignment every night (don ask me y i blog b4 i do work..:o). Ya, so back to the day's happenings..after that, we did PCR primary to see if pfcrt primers work or not. Did a nested PCR..both primary and secondary. Then during the break, astrid, ger, we all went to canteen 2 to eat. Wa..the first time i add so much salt into my chicken chop. Some landed on the tray too..hehe. And i had "hei luo mi" as dessert. Its a nice lunch...absolutely wonderfulrous. :p After that, went back to lv 7..and saw wanting (don ask y she fasinates me) and did a shy "hi" (don ask what a shy hi is too..:p). Then went on to collect our PCR primary to do our secondary. Oh ya..forgot to mentioned that me and hup tried abit of optimizing as well. Did 10 samples, 7 the usual and the last 3..we increased the amount of template to 3 ul instead of two. Sounds logical, the optimizing step, cos if u wan to see the results of ur optimizing..u need to run 2 PCRs (since its a nested) and that takes around 1 whole day. We only have 2 days in an entire week to do that..so i was afraid we were running out of time already (which i think we are). Ya, after doing our second PCR..me and wanting washed hands together at the sink~ Don ask me y im fasinated by that too. One reason i can think of its that, you noe, its a nice feeling to talk to someone you're supposed to talk to but somehow, even though she's same LT..i don talk to her. To puishan also the same. Hmm..both are secondary school frens~ Supposed to be close 1!~ Im confused too..??

So after that..it was 3:15..went to blk 40 to test out maths stats to see if we can any head or tail out of it. Forgot what happened but started only at 4. Then realised that it was freaking easy..juz have to noe whats going on. Whew..a relief alrite. Then went ahead to canteen 1 (we left together, hup jiaming ger me and others) and i headed to crash ger's HI class. Wahaha..quite fun. Pk (phuy koon? how to spell) keep bullying me..say i can only sit at the back, cannot sign (except clap sign) and cannot disturb..hehe. Reasonable la, im a crasher..so behave abit. Then ger got me to introduce myself (knew around 1/4 of the class liao..abit haha) and all. The worst part? Aircon went off in the middle!! Grrr...KNS~ I got to be a usher (bring them up from LT 73) too..:) Then aircon made us suffer...so hot! Everyone was complaining..edmund, weile, meng, ger,khai ping, pk, qin shi, shuhui, eunice and le lian was there. Aircon came up a while later..(ard 1/2 hr later..hotttt~~) and then ger wanted us to play wacko. Argh, i got jio-ed inside too..everyone in the class played la. Not bad icebreaker..then ger tio 3 times and got foreit. Toopid me..go and suggest he dance wif qinshi..ended up backfired (had a feeling this would come) and i was made to dnace with him. =x Anyway..ya..was tellin them don sabo own ppl..if not..not fun le. Icebreaker will lose its meaning..like wat meng said..its to bring out those colder ppl. Oh well..its like that. :)

After that..didnt go eat wif them..cos nver tell mom im eating outside. Along the way..practise signing on the bus with meng..i have a feeling i sign too fast. Reached home..stone abit..and here i am. Abit tired as such..so will talk more someother day. Le ouTz`
