first day at work!! wooo~~

ok..so i reached at 8:30..stoned there till 9.
supervisor came and we went to do patching.
basically consist of shaving (yes..with a BaRun shaver) the back of the mouse (its really black!) to paste something like medicated plaster over it.
quite fun..Dr Renee Lim (my supervisor) did the IP anastesising (ma jui yao) and i did shaving and patching.
Haha..den after plastering..we put a bandage. Ya..those meant for humans..
Dr Lim call it wearing clothes for the mice..hehe..kawaii!!
She nice nice..gave me a go at IP injection..man i suck at scruffing.
Mice bit me!! Sobx..it hurts (not really la..can tahan..cos i wear glove..hehe)
Vicious mice though..naughty (don like wearing clothes) and bit alot..yes..alot..
Poo and pee everywear too..haha
anyway..really fun..den went to eat with jiaming.
Finding a seat..and saw ros and meihua (she came later) and alison.
Alison suan me..haha
Sat down..den jm and peishan came.
Ros they all left..so we took over.
Ate claypot rice..mine was chicken..hehe
Eugene chen joined later.
saw eugene chan and joanna on the way back..they look so happy..haha
so went back..and went back AHU (animal holding unit) to finish last cage.
Oh ya...disgusting big. So u noe our racks to hold mice? Same size.
1 "cage" 5 mice, 1 trolley 8*8 "cages"..1 room 3 trollys.
Doing abit of calculating..that ends up to be..(drum rounds)...960 mice in a room.

Can u imagine..how intimidating it is? haha
Oh..i forgot to mention..the AHU is around the size of block 34 lv 7..and 1 room is slightly bigger den our animal room.

There's rabbits, rats (or izzit guinea pigs?..they look...HUGE..), monkeys and pigs! Kawaii!
Anyway...i can only judge from wat i can see in front..god knows how long that place stretches..sheez

went back..arranged tubes from 49-119 (yes..i nothing to do le) accordingly.
Ok..Dr liew fetch me..and i went back to label the cages with him.
He scared me..he saw i hv to follow him do bleeding of mice every week..guess wat? They wont get anasthezied.........(scruff scruff power rangers!)
Checked on mice to see if they wake up le ma too
