So today is another alot to write day..:)

hmm..where did i stop? Tuesday i think. Ok..tuesday is my 2nd day at work. Wat happened heh? According to my planner (yeah..i got 1. Its free from my supervisor..:0), i did a instrut related work. Its affinity chromatography! (Unseen, but the blogger goes for a nature call..*pause*..and he's back) Ultra irritating
experience..cos xu hui and i had to repack the column. That involves pullin out the plugger, resuspending the work-so-hard-to-settle beads and resuspending the whole thing. Intially, it took ard 30 minutes juz to TRY and let the beads settle, but i asked xu hui whether can open the tap (which is below), let the buffer drain and hopefully let the beads come down together with the water. Tried that and it worked..so not too bad. Running the supernatent (containing allergen Der p1) through the column (pumped by this machine) will take around 1-2 hrs. So i went over with Renee (my supervisor) to cell culture room. Woah..i forgot most of my cell culture le. Anyway..so we did trypsinzation and harvesting of cells. Err,remove medium, wash cells in the 24 well plate, add trysin, add serum, remove cells, spin, remove supernatent, add serum+DMSO, put in plastic cryovials and store in -80oC. Wa..they have this room specially for freezers u see..so its like so...impressive. Haha..well..den i got my CHO cells sample..which is the initial removed medium. I spin it down and got rid of cell debris. And i kapok 2 plastic cryovials..so cute! when u open the cap..they stick to ur finger due to static. Lol..im amused by it..:p Tml no work! Yay!

Wednesday
S-cube seminar!!!! Fiona called me when im happily snoozing and slumbering (got this word ma?). She released early..so no 1 with her. Dunno y i felt so gian to juz go down meet them for lunch. So tried my best to go down in time..cant really do it in 30 minutes. Sobx..maybe its the dou-sa-bing (hey..i found out its called that liao..:p fiona so clever..haha) she doing the stare-at-ppl act..telling me abt it too. haha..makes ppl smile and go speechless. anyway..so met her at busstop (how 2 describe that busstop? in front of medical co-op..coop?!) Her facial expressions are...rich and plenty i guess. Ya..den sat bus A2, A2 to business canteen there. Missed it 1st time (alighted wrong) and took again. Den saw alot of ppl there. Got..jm, lingwei, ??, ryan, peishan, ann, wanting, thaddeus (i wan to know if they two together anot!!~) , ??, subra, ?? and eugene. Alot of ??..haha. So end up i nver eat (??) and then we took bus B to in front of central lib and took 151. Fiona disappeared with dunno who..she know them meh? So took it there..the talk is ok..skit was ultra funny (tickled my sense of humour) and the Q and A is the best. Alot of ppl left..so they missed the gd show. Highlight was this muslim girl..who came up and accused (yes..accused was her tone) on why muslims who entered religious schools does not get enlisted into NS. Ah..the sensitive religious issue. Hmm..she didnt do her homework though..so she still got defeated. Starting..the person on left answer badly. Her stand was that "how abt muslims that are as religious and patrotic?". End up..the guy on right gave a ultra gd answer. He gave a stand on total defense, saying that for eg: "in war, some ppl may need counsoling. That's when religious teachers come in, juz for eg, to give either physcological or emotional help". Wa..me and jiaming...impressed sia. Power..the girl tio defeated. Trying to save some dignity (im not saying anything abt muslims..later u all say i racist), she posted a 2nd qn. She forced a actual stats on how many muslim pilots there are.is there only one? Well..the person replied..there's more than 1. There's 3..out of 300+. Frankly..i didnt like the girl's attitude (she's our yr..BMS 1)..we don go into why muslims muz force their spouse to be muslims right? Sheez. but got other interesting facts: Indonesia's high tech planes don hv spare parts! lol..and malaysia is doing complusory NS to answer to the poor inter-togetherness in their country (wow) Anyway..den go to lv 7 wait for Dr Koh. End up he's not coming on thursday..next next week he says..oh well. Went home.

Thursday
Work is horrible. morning..i went with Dr Lim to feed the mice with lactobacillus (yakault!). Dr lim is extremely nice..she also let me try 1. The black mice so naughty..i hate them. :( Well..i got 1 try nia..and 1st time i succeeded! Wow..Dr lim amazed..den after that let me bleed also. Ah..bleeding is harder for me..i failed. Sobx. Then next Dr liew bring me over. He better..he got me 5 mice to train bleeding. Really..both supervisors are excellent. 1 always give me a chance..the other trust me alot to do some work. That 5 mouse..cmi. Took me 1 hr sia..sad. And i took unsufficient blood. Argh! ARgh! ARGH!! I literally torturing mice sia..and so many blood..:( Well..tml i got 15 mice and i'll be alone. Die. Final expt was to prepare the alum (agvuvent) for tml. Immuno~ Went into the cold room again..brrr~

Its moon cake festival too! Ah..saw all my cousins..love them. Then i disturbed (act cute..ya ya..but im happy ma) our family doctor's daughter..she's from ACJC (tomboy look) and i didnt know she was his daughter anyway. So den we played..toopid jiehan flooded me with act cute msgs (hehe..thks) and we had fun la. Yi Jun still very shy..nver change..apple dropped a tooth! Haha..was telling her..its chang-er tonite..not tooth fairy. Poor apple..generation gap..her sister is like sec 4 age when she's only P6. No 1 really plays with her..so we have to disturb her to try and make her at home. Peiyun is oh-my-god...she used up 1 DOVE shampoo bottle in 1 week..and its 90% gone within 1 day type. =x Girls..but its gd la..tt's y girls always smell so nice..so aint gonna object much to my future gf/wife soaking herself in soap. Haha

Friday
THat's today! Ok..i like today. So morning..i went over to AHU with Xu Hui's card..time was 9:30 when i reached. Enter the room..gulp. Heart was pouncing. Prepare for the 1st mice. Glass pipette enters eyes..aimed..turned..blood flowed! Pulled back and got it nicely with a gd flow. Released mice. Woah! tt's my first mice..and from that moment onwards..i noe bleeding is no problem. Basically..i decided to go for short pain rather than long pain for the mice (reminds me though..im going for long pain rather than short pain..i dunno y..maybe it didnt hurt me enough). Managed to finished the mice in my own record of 40 minutes!! I was smiling inside liao..wait till i go back and surprised all of them. True enough..all of them shocked. Huh?! Finished! Wa..expert liao ah..than i like the final part. Cos Dr liew will think im still there..so we played catching. Haha..found him at last..then he went to chat with Dr Lim. He was praising me (so happy!).."on the first day..i know he's capable already..but i nver say". First impression..and i made it through during the actual trial too! Ok..wonderful. Then i went to do IP with Dr Liew..back to AHU. This time round..mice was very afraid (i think i bleed still too painful..sobx..really..sobx) and IP got diff. 1 thing is i also dunno how 2 do IP..oh well..now i know. Had to disappoint Dr liew though..cos i took 1 hr juz for simple IP-ing. Injections was difficult to begin with wat. Then finished by 11:45. Msged them..ryan peishan eating cup-a-noodle. =x Jm at business..so i went over. Along the way..msged fiona 1 of the cute (act cute..alrite alrite) msgs..she became murderer. Haha..den found out she hvnt eat yet..so met at business. Saw alot of ppl eating this food..so asked one of them. The guy replied: "you tiao tou fu tang". Haha..i went to buy..though jm say don buy from that stall..not nice 1. It looks nice though..so i went ahead. sat down and ate 1st..its $2.60..izzit staff price or wat? ya..then jm went to buy his food, but showed this really cute photo 1st. Some1 same sec sch got his sec 1 look on camera..haha..cute sia. Den fiona came along..so she did the "not here..weird ppl" look. Haha..do i do that too? Im getting influenced by her..making faces at everything. So she found us..and ask y every1 eating wat im eating. Haha..i followed them eat 1. Then she also went to buy that...jm bought malay food. Oh ya..fiona talk over phone..got the |hush hush| voice..like in cinema..muz talk quietly type..eh? She brought you tiao..and her version is tou fu brain. =x Its the same..den she keeps making funny faces. u noe? Pout and pout..haha..cute. Then we talked, she got cookies and do nothing much in her IAP (she calls it IP? my IP is intra-peritonial..=x) ..and im taking like 1 hr plus liao. She very curious abt (today i learn alot) relationship kinda thing 1...jm's 1 also wan to know. She understands "broken" the sign..omg. Anyway..finished..saw sukumar. He don recoginzed me..at least pretend to la! :( caught A2 back..walked quite far to get back to CRC. Sukumar's lab directly above me..haha...#04-19. Den had a very slack afternoon..qing hui teach me casting of PAGE. OMG...acrylamide is a neurotoxin..canot touch with hand!! And i dunno!! =x Tmd..ngee ann..i play $1000+ 1 k? Den i ate for 1 hr 45 minutes today..wahahaha. Purposely slack..den finisehd at 5:00. So cant do anything..and i get to release early! Wahahaha..sat no need to go too..wahahahaha. I like friday.

Ate dinner..dad wanted the chee-cheong-fun..next time i buy..haha..but expensive. Fiona is interesting..observe more..don dare to call her cute leh..cos she really too cute liao..find a nicer term next time. (/me makes a fiona face..haha :p)
