today? interesting!!!!

So Dr Koh was supposed to come today. I came early, but not early enough. 1/2 way..it rained..totally upset my day. Its a heavy rain too, so when i got off the bus, the busstop was relatively crowded too. Tried waiting for the rain to end, but it didnt. Man got off bus and "cut" my head with his opened umbrella. Argh, wat a way to start. Waited for 10 minutes, but rain showed no sign of giving way. I had a feeling god is punishing me for my mistakes again. Oh well, braved the rain..and regreted it the moment i left the haven of the shelter. Soaked the moment i left the busstop, it was that heavy. Oh well, ran and ran...in the rain. Managed to reach NUH main entrance w/o swearing..so walked over to the edge..for a 2nd round. Got even wetter (duh?) and reached CRC. Lucky nver tio car accident..cos my specs got covered by rain too. Grrr

Entered building with guard comforting me on the wet weather..felt more relaxed. Lab was still closed..so i opened it. Next thing to do? Tried drying myself with hand dryer..didnt really work. Haiz..so uncomfortable. Anyway..Dr Koh like late like that..so i went ahead to do 2nd part of western blot. (alot of IAP students all doing blots..now i noe y) Koh TY came soon, with my supervisor Renee. Ok..so they talked..and I was eavedropping while doing my work. Some comments on me, gd and bad..but it was totally honest..so Im happy. Den 10 minutes later..koh koh left (haha..so..the name so act cute) and i do my work la. Den heard from Renee (she saw frm email) that all work to be suspended. Meeting at 1pm. Everyone was confused, including ppl from the mother lab. But we went on to do our work la..didnt care. Finished my incubation step late..so no one eat with me (i think i'll go unstable becos of that) again..haha. Anyway..brought the expensively expensive cup-a-noodle from vending machine. Its $1.30..argh. Oh..forgot to type..bleeding of mouse was ok today. Oh..and this too: for the 1st time in my life..i banged really hard into some1 while coming out of a corner. REALLY hard..full force...cos i was looking the other side for traffic..bang!! Lucky it was qing hui i banged into..whew. But its like 2 seconds...i lost my footing and stumbled while he trys to regain my balance for me by supporting me. =x =x =x

So ate at pantry..its chicken flavoured! Don noe to be happy or not. Lots of veggies too (refering to some1). Rushed back cos meeting at 1. Its raining too.....:( So got enough umbrella..and we went over. Its not that bad..this time got umbrella. But wasnt allowed to go in, no staff card from NUS. I went....grrrr. Hv to queue to get a sticker. Haiyan jie jie (i think i can call her jie jie..she's really nice~) too. Irritated we are..but wat to do? So got in..hv to look for the seminar room too. haiz...we only noe its lv 4..its pretty humongous..managed to find it..but late..no seats! Saw joanne, eugene got send off/home cos got eye infection, rashid, !%@@ and kris. wow..kris hair longer liao..*envy..*

So meeting, the woman talked really power..talkign abt BSL and how many ppl dunno wat it is. I guess its biological safety level ba..virus is lv 3. Other work, blood,recombiant eg, are lv 2. Haha..she says in US, even a simple experiment like transforming a bacteria needs certification and paperwork. Anyway..work was suspended due to SARS case. WHO and MOH ppl..not satisfied with NUS's lab's safety..labs ard sg actually..included DSO and others. No TLL it seems. So the panel wans safety to be upgraded..and we hv to start doing proper lab practices. 1 simple eg: Label everything in the freezer. Y? Cos in the sars case...the virus was even left out in the open..juz for any1 to take like that. Ppl very angry..results in alot of labs suspended. Tons of housekeeping to be done...spotcheck on monday. There will be regular checks from next week onwards..wat a bother. Its safety first..yes..but irritating..haha

That was the highlight at work. My blot came out nothing aGAIN! Hv to primary again (haha..wasnt expt supposed to be suspended?). Anyway..broke rules..alot of ppl did. A lot of ppl didnt too..end up i hv to go home late.

Mel and faye emailed those "tell me abt me". Mel's 1 i replied. Faye's one..i didnt. Rather, i purposely didnt wan to. Reason is below:

I dunno how 2 reply these questions..seriously. Quite angry too..but only abit. God grant me courage to hate her..she seems so fragile but y is she so insensitive?? Or izzit juz me? God grant me courage to face a me i'll hving trouble facing.
