Difficult to stay friends with an ex:

...Personally, I envy her for being able to get along well with her ex, especially since they only broke up in June. Although I did not conduct any survey, i guess people like her still form the minority. Most partings arent that amicable, and both parties would want to aviod each other as far as possible, let alone be friends.

It would take two very rational and mature adults to be able to be friends with each other after a breakup. I came across a magazine once which asked: "Can a man and woman look at each other as just friends after a breakup?"

According to Dr Ruth Westheimer, Amercia's leading sex therapist, the answer is no. That's because a man cannot think of a woman without thinking of her sexually and the woman will, no matter what, try to seduce the man. So there will always be sexual electricity and tension between a couple after a breakup.

An ex used to tell me: "I cannot treat you like an ordinary friend." Hence, he disappeared from my life, literally. In Ms Chow's situation, I would guess she can still be friends with her ex because both parties have not found new loves yet.

When either party becomes attached once again, complications will arise. Not many people will tolerate the fact that their partners still remain friends with ther exes.

Alot of jealousy and unnecessary quarrels will result. When one of them gets married, it is even more unlikely that they will remain in contact. I believe men and women can stary friends with their exes only for a transition period. The past will always continue to haunt us.

now..just how true is that? Hmm..interesting. Anyway..today, caught a nice TV film. Its an indian show on Channel I, abt English colonization of India in the olden days and cricket. Hehe. Bhuvan! Bhuvan! Bhuvan! I actually enjoyed the show..quite touching. Awww~

Planning on wat time to meet tml. Mummy not returning my sms yet..zz Judgin on the above, i shouldnt call her mummy...if not..meiqi's bf will get jealous. Hehe. I'll maintain the act cute/lameness a while i guess...:)
