A friday...horrendous (hts?)

So the situation didnt subside... Yesterday, both me and hy was doing ELISA. So the day went on normally and everyone in the lab did their own things. Suddenly, hy was standing beside renee quietly..and one starts feels the calm before the storm. She muttered something about being sorry and adding anti-human Ig instead of anti-mouse Ig. 2 seconds later, renee exploded with a shout. Scolding hy, she slapped her (with words) and ask why dont we (yes..we) check the labels before using the tube. Said some ugly words and did the finale. She got up and stormed out of the lab. Tick tock tick tock..the lab turned silent. I looked at hy and had to look away. Briming with tears, she miserably stood down there and froze in self-blame. I wanted to console her but cant think of how. So half-way do my ELISA, 1/2 way try to look at her and say "sorry for the scolding". Sigh..Renee disappeared for 10 minutes..and that 10 minutes was really terrible.

Its the first time renee ever scolded me or hy. And with such a magnitude (the eariler scolds were merely...tick off type nia). Whole day spoiled (i meant hy) and its only a thursday. Renee came back and apologise for raising her voice, but the damage was already done. So sad. Hy kept quiet for the rest of the day. I tried talking to her by asking qns to get her mind of it..but didnt work (obviously..i dunno how to console girls and there's no chocolate (universal ans [to girls]) around the lab either). I tried talking to renee, to try and cheer her up. All of us were upset. Sigh

I continued my ELISA. Poor me..due to the incident, hy (after finishing her ELISA redo) didnt come and help me. So i did to a decent (considered liao) 8:06 pm. Add and add and add. Eyes nearly crossed. Poor hy. Sigh

Come friday. I thought they can be relaxed and cool abt the whole thing. Apparently no. Hy gave me the idea she's cold-warring renee. Can understand too, when the fault wasnt really hers. The anti-human IgE tube was placed inside the MOUSE Ig box. Cant fully blame her if she took wrongly right? At least she looks to see if its IgE. =x Sigh. Now im sortof caught between them. Whenever i talk to either of them, they become unusually chatty (esp renee) and hy goes back to the very quiet mood whenever i talk to renee. Last time, she used to join in the conversations. Sigh. I hope the weekend cures the emotional wound. They make quite gd partners.

That was the worst. Now for worse incident (not worst..). Today, i sacrificed 5 more mice, all in the name of humanity. Dr liew inspected them (he was inside the room as well) and i pointed out to them and ask how come they all huddle together? Dr liew's experience is that they are scared of cold and hence, sick. Not healthy mice...sac. Ok lor. only managed a 500 µl of blood until they were drained. Yes..i mean drained. Cannot take any more le..once, i even had blood going back into the mice from the capillary glass pipette. Sheez. And the sad mouse 10. She went into spasm. Jump and spasm, to the extent it flew off the operating table and hit the ground. Im sorry mice. Ok, maybe im not so sorry already..but the feelin their spine (i cant find a forceps..) dislocate still gross me out. Lost my appetite. For a while only though..hehe. *evil lufter

Dad commented today. On the MRT, a cute little young lady suddenly jumps up and offers her seat to my dad. Talk about feeling insulted and speechless. Cant help laughing. lol
