and welcome...to my whopping handphone bill of $109 last month.
owwww man, i just hit a all time new record. apparently, my student plan ended and i happily continued to call my girlfriend to chat over the phone (3 m1 numbers supposedly free). and yup, kaboom, off the chart. so here's a post to all ppl who signed up student plan and is off the 2 year contract thing..
(after a few queries with the customer service people..)
[enlightenments]
1) old version of student plan follows Suntalk 150. New version follows Sunsavers.
free outgoing minutes: Suntalk 150 (150 minutes) vs Sunsavers (100 minutes)
sms/mms: Suntalk 150 (separately counted. based on kb sent) vs Sunsavers (bundled together. mms cost the same as a sms)
Unlimited calls to 3 M1 numbers: Suntalk 150 (only for first 24 months. after that, 50% off. took me $109 to realise..tmd) vs Sunsavers (last forevaaaaa....)
call charges: Suntalk 150 (per min) vs Sunsavers (per sec)
monthly subscription fee: Suntalk 150 ($24) vs Sunsavers ($24..same..)
free sms: Suntalk 150 (500) vs Sunsavers (500..same...)
student benefits: Suntalk 150 (extra 500 sms. rest not sure) vs Sunsavers (extra 500 sms, free campus call, free surfing worth $5.35)
2) you can change your plan from Suntalk 150 to Sunsavers free of charge
3) even after 2 years, u can renew your student benefits free of charge and no bonds required. all you need is to produce a valid student card and be below 26 years old after your 2 yrs end.
4) campus call i think is call within campus. max $60. to whoever wherever in singapore. but the cell block you are in must be your sch's
5) Voicemail service itself is free. but if one were to call and activate a voicemail, it would be considered one outgoing call. and if one were to call to retrieve a voice mail, that's considered another outgoing call. there's an alternative service, where m1 provides a missed call msg. but only if your phone was turned off.
now you tell me..what plan i should go for? grrrr
outz`pocket burn 1 big hole
