disclaimer: my post today may be a little mean..

and i was at a seminar room having lecture today..

there is this particular guy. your typical nerdy (the fat and hair oily type) guy. He apparently did not take the module, but happily crashed. Our class is small..the total students was 28 if im not mistaken.

He's hyper active in asking question, even though he did not take the module. On one side, one can say he's very interested in the field to do so. The other side of the coin is that he is disrupting the class and just wasting other people's time.

Anyway, what happened was that his phone rang when the lecturer was halfway through his speech (its an ang moh lecturer). As of the main stream "manners protocol", you're supposed to hurriedly cancel the call or at least excuse yourself and pick up the phone outside the class. What he did...

- pick up the call
- have the lecturer pause and look at him
- talked on the phone for a good 5 secs with the whole class silent..
- continue talking on the phone
- have the lecturer call him (he was sitting at the front row)
- he ignored the lecturer
- the lecturer starts to frown abit
- i tapped him on the hand
- he is oblivious (maybe he thinks taking a call in a small room where everyone can hear is a ok thing to do)
- class cont to be silent and observed the situation
- the lecturer caught his attention by going "hey!"
- he looked up
- lecturer said "i think thats too much"
- he paused in his talking
- lecturer said "can you please get out"
- he gave an "orh" and finally got out of the class

well, personally, i felt the whole process could had stopped a whole lot earlier. but you know, some people just doesnt conform to social norms

`outz - or is it just me who's annoyed yet amused by the whole thing?
